No More Plastic Filters For Me!! After having 3 plastic filters of different types snap and crack on me it's metal only from here on out. This one is well machined. Great seal. Large filter cartridge that should last forever. No leaks. Great value as compared to some others out there. I'd certainly buy again. No instructions for flow direction but I decided I wanted the inlet side doing the filtering on the outside of the cartridge for easy inspection during maintenance.
