Evan b. This is an item, now that the gt200's are 20 years old, that should be checked for cracks and aging. You can check for unseen cracks by spraying carb cleaner while the motor is running and listening for a change in RPMs. No change means everything is sealed and working properly and if the motor speeds up there is a leak somewhere.I opted to change mine out since the original on my 2005 just turned 20 years old. This one looks like OEM and is 1/3 the price of non OEM from a scooter parts supply house.
