Did the job, nice value priced tool.
The package says "made in china" and the pliers say "Japan Pat" (japanese design) but the quality is well above average. The pliers are heavy, the springs are lively and the tip seems to be stronger than the pliers where there's small headers (many people say those break easy). I can't say about longevity because I just got these in today but soon as I held them in my hand I knew I liked them. Even the plastic covers for the handles are soft and smooth. More importantly they fit perfectly into the snap rings of my motorcycle's (1999 Honda Shadow VLX 600) master cylinder. I even balled up some paper towel with break fluid and was able to clean some hard to get to spots with these pliers. Getting snap rings off without specialty pliers is a serious chore. You can end up damaging your parts in super sensitive areas. You will scrape up the side walls using a knife or a pick so don't be surprised if you end up with a leak or a ruff looking part at best. Just as important as pulling out snap rings is putting them or the new ones on. Snap rings have to be set perfectly to not have small gaps around the collar that will definitely cause you some headaches. Guess what I'm sayings is I really like these pliers and they make a tuff task really easy which makes it worth their price in time saved and a job well done.I ordered these on Friday and had them at my door on Sunday. If you're reading this GOOFIT send me the 90 degree bent pliers so I can have a matching set! I probably will order them down the road anyways. These GooFit pliers are awesome.
