This key switch replaced one in a 1988 EZGO Marathon Golf Cart (sheet metal console). The switch does have a plastic housing with a spur to keep the switch from free turning in the dash board. Although we had to bore out the hole and add the slot, it's doesn't look the prettiest but that's on the installer not the part. This is a 2 position switch; on/off. It has a nice tactile and audible 'click' when you turn the key. Our application would probably be better suited to a metal lock washer style but the spring clips keep the switch in a relatively firm hold. Not sure exactly what the connector block is designed to go with but we didn't have the reciprocating end so it was cut off and just soldered together. For $10 bucks this is a pretty good value and may be used in a wide variety of applications. 5 stars. I hope you found my review helpful.
Decent manufacturing and quality materials. Simple 2-wire system. I like that the key cannot be removed while in the "ignition on" position. Easy to install. Good value for price.
As advertised works well on daughters 3 wheel electric trike
I ordered this key switch for a gocart switch replacement. This set includes two key switches, and both include two keys for each switch. All the wires appear to assembled well, and look to be setup for an easy plug up connection. This set also includes an additional key ring for the keys.
