Fitment FAQ
Will this part fit my specific model and year?
This intake manifold is intended for Direct replacement for Yamaha 400cc and 450cc 4x4 ATV models. Please verify your OEM part number 5GH-13586-00-00 .; Fitment Years; Engine Size; Yamaha; Grizzly 400 (YFM400F); 2007 – 2008; 400cc. Listed year information includes 2007–2008, 2007–2014, 2000–2006, 2003–2006, 2006–2010. It is best matched to original part number(s) 5GH-13586-00-00. Key physical/spec details from the product data include 400cc, 450cc. Use the compatibility table and product photos together before ordering.
Do I need to match the OEM part number?
Yes. Match your original part number to 5GH-13586-00-00 before purchase. For this intake manifold, also compare the bolt spacing, intake port shape, carb-side inner diameter, vacuum nipple position, and gasket shape. This is especially important for Yamaha Grizzly/Kodiak/YFM400F models because similar model names can use different parts by year or trim.
What models or situations does this part not fit?
Do not order this intake manifold for machines outside the listed compatibility, or for units with different port shapes, bolt spacing, carb-side diameter, or vacuum nipple locations. If your original part number does not cross-reference with 5GH-13586-00-00, treat the fitment as unconfirmed. Model years outside 2007–2008, 2007–2014, 2000–2006, 2003–2006, 2006–2010 should be verified separately. Do not rely only on the model name or engine size.
What should I check before ordering?
Before ordering, compare your original part with the photos and check the bolt spacing, intake port shape, carb-side inner diameter, vacuum nipple position, and gasket shape. Confirm OEM/cross-reference number(s): 5GH-13586-00-00. Recheck listed specs such as 400cc, 450cc. If any connector, mounting point, size, or year detail is different, confirm fitment before installation.
Replacing the intake manifold on a 2006 Yamaha YFM450.Part number imprinted on the intake manifold matched the original.I was able to swap these out, however the mounting holes were slightly narrower than original - was not a direct replacement without some modification.NOTE: This was noticeable when I loosely installed both mounting bolts - one became hard to thread by hand (Do Not Force It!). In order to not damage the threads and get this to fit I had to drill the mounting holes out a little bit. This allowed me to install the manifold.Original carburetor is a Mikuni. I test fit it on the carburetor (feels a little too easy to slide onto the carb compared to the original manifold). I did not use the clamp that came in the package (concern that sharp edges may cut into the boot)I’d advise checking for any air leaks when test running.
