Will this part fit my specific model and year?
This magneto stator is intended for This gasket is a precision-cut replacement for Kawasaki’s long-running 650cc dual-sport platform; Engine Type; Kawasaki; KLR650 (Gen 1); 1987 – 2007; 651cc Single-Cylinder. Listed year information includes 1987–2007, 2008–2018, 1987, 2007, 2008. Key physical/spec details from the product data include 650cc, 651cc. Use the compatibility table and product photos together before ordering.
Do I need to match the OEM part number?
Yes. If your original part has a stamped OEM or manufacturer number, match that number first before ordering. For this magneto stator, also compare the OEM number, outer/inner diameter, core height or thickness, plug shape, wire count, mounting holes, pickup position, and rubber grommet style. This is especially important for Kawasaki KLR650 models because similar model names can use different parts by year or trim.
What models or situations does this part not fit?
Do not order this magneto stator for machines outside the listed compatibility, or for units with different plug layouts, pickup-coil positions, wire counts, stator diameters, or charging/ignition configurations. Model years outside 1987–2007, 2008–2018, 1987, 2007, 2008 should be verified separately. Do not rely only on the model name or engine size.
What should I check before ordering?
Before ordering, compare your original part with the photos and check the OEM number, outer/inner diameter, core height or thickness, plug shape, wire count, mounting holes, pickup position, and rubber grommet style. Recheck listed specs such as 650cc, 651cc. If any connector, mounting point, size, or year detail is different, confirm fitment before installation.
This is the left side case gasket for Kawasaki KLR650. You'll need this gasket for anything you need to get in to the left side of your motor for. This includes the rotor, stator, starter and of course the doohickey (engine balancer chain drive system.). It is recommended to replace this gasket every time even if the old one seems ok.I keep one of these on hand at all times. This gasket installed easily and so far no leaks.
