Fitment FAQ
Will this part fit my specific model and year?
This drive belt is intended for Manco 5959, Comet 203589, & Coleman 199. It is best matched to original part number(s) 203589, 12-8487. Key physical/spec details from the product data include Inner Circumference: 690mm (27.2"), Width: 19mm (0.75"), Number of Teeth: 66 Teeth. Use the compatibility table and product photos together before ordering.
Do I need to match the OEM part number?
Yes. Match your original part number to 203589, 12-8487 before purchase. For this drive belt, also compare the OEM belt number, belt length, belt width, tooth/profile style, clutch/variator type, and engine model. This is especially important for Coleman/Manco models because similar model names can use different parts by year or trim.
What models or situations does this part not fit?
Do not order this drive belt for machines outside the listed compatibility, or for units with different OEM belt numbers, belt widths/lengths, clutch sheaves, or CVT profiles. If your original part number does not cross-reference with 203589, 12-8487, treat the fitment as unconfirmed. Do not rely only on the model name or engine size.
What should I check before ordering?
Before ordering, compare your original part with the photos and check the OEM belt number, belt length, belt width, tooth/profile style, clutch/variator type, and engine model. Confirm OEM/cross-reference number(s): 203589, 12-8487. Recheck listed specs such as Inner Circumference: 690mm (27.2"), Width: 19mm (0.75"), Number of Teeth: 66 Teeth. If any connector, mounting point, size, or year detail is different, confirm fitment before installation.
I was looking for a TAV belt that would be a little looser than normal so it could slip on the driver pulley when stopped. I upgraded to a (knock-off) juggernaut and it would stall the bike out when coming to a stop with the old belt I was using.I installed this belt, which was just a slightly larger and it works perfectly. It slips on the driver when stopping and lets the bike idle normally, but then once I hit the throttle it engages nice and firmly and off I go.It's the best fitting torque converter belt I've tried so far. I'm probably going to order several of these so I'll always have a replacement. It's too bad they don't sell them in a 3 pack.My setup is a little unique, but if you have a mega moto 212 with a predator engine you normally need the 203590 belt. When I swapped the driver out with the juggernaut, the 203590 belt wouldn't disengage at low speeds and would drag so bad the bike would stall. It also made it impossible to push the bike when it isn't running. This belt fits perfectly and is holding up really well- no belt debris or other signs of slippage and wear.Highly recommend.
As a 60-year-old retiree from Michigan who’s been tinkering with go-karts since my boys were racing them around our rural property in the ‘80s, I know a good drive belt is critical for a smooth ride. This GOOFIT 30 Series Drive Belt, a replacement for the Manco 5959 and Comet 203589, has been a perfect fit for my Coleman 199 go-kart with a 6.5HP engine, and I’m genuinely impressed with its durability and performance. The belt slotted right into the torque converter without any fuss, matching the specs for my 5HP-7HP engine perfectly. Installation was a breeze – took me about 15 minutes with a pulley tool and some basic know-how, even with my aging hands. The belt grips like a champ, delivering smooth power transfer that’s made hill climbs and quick starts around my property feel effortless, whether I’m hauling gear or letting the grandkids take a spin. It’s a noticeable upgrade over the worn stock belt, with no slipping or whining, even on Michigan’s sandy trails near Lake Michigan. What stands out is the belt’s toughness. It’s held up through muddy spring rides and dusty summer runs without stretching or glazing, despite the humid air and occasional rain we get up here. The material feels heavy-duty, and it’s kept my go-kart running strong for hours of use without needing adjustments. For an old-timer like me, that reliability means more time enjoying the ride and less time wrenching in the garage. For the price, this belt is a steal, offering OEM-level quality at a fraction of the cost. It’s made our family go-kart days more fun and worry-free. I’ve already recommended it to my VFW buddies who tinker with their own karts. If you’re a Michigan gearhead looking for a dependable drive belt for your Coleman or similar go-kart, this GOOFIT 30 Series is a winner. Highly recommend!
