Fit just fine
Works amazing
This is to replace the original. After the string broke and it was necessary to take it off to replace the string, it never really attached back on correctly again. So, over time the splines that extend when the string is pulled and engage the engine became bent and broke off. This recoil starter seems very well made. The splines in this one are actually rods which seem stronger then the previous ones and less likely to bend and break. The cord is also thicker, stronger then the one it replaces. I'm very pleased with this purchase, especially for the price. This is a perfect replacement for the recoil starter on a Predator Generator 4000, the screw holes line up, etc. Hope this helps.
